Hydrangea Macrophylla and Hydrangea Paniculata: These two species are among the most commonly cultivated hydrangeas. Hydrangea macrophylla, also known as bigleaf hydrangea or mophead hydrangea, is known for its large, rounded flower heads and its ability to change flower colour based on soil pH. Hydrangea paniculata, also called panicle hydrangea, has elongated, conical flower clusters and is often more tolerant of sun and heat.
